Community Archery Leader

We are an accredited Grand National Archery Society (National Governing Body) community archery leader course and certification assessment supplier. Courses can be run at a time of your convenience at a venue of your choice, if suitable, or at The Shamba ACE.

The course duration is a minimum of 25 hours and typically involves four full days training with some homework. The final day is the assessment day where the candidates will be assessed by an independent NGB assessor for suitability and competence as a Community Archery Leader leading to certification by the NGB.

The Shamba ACE will issue certificates of attendance, for CPD purposes, to those completing the course and GNAS (the NGB) certificate will be sent to those passing the final assessment.

The Syllabus covers

A. Safety, suitable rounds and forms of archery.

B. Shooting at up to 20 yards - style and consistency. This involves shooting without sights and with sights.

C. Teaching and adjusting basic technique.

D. Equipment - selection, maintenance, sources of supply

The course can be tailored to your needs within the parameters set by the NGB. Please contact us to see how we can satisfy your course requirements.
